A beautifully built Victorian terrace (dating from 1869 and equivalent to Grade ll listed) had been used as a doctors’ surgery. The priority for Jeananne Wells Interior Design was to immediately reverse the many unsympathetic modifications. Once the impressive entry hall, original stair and high ceilinged rooms were exposed, these were presented in a simple and contemporary manner. A new stainless steel kitchen replaced two small rear rooms and a marble floored bathroom with freestanding bath and walk in shower was designed from another small room and cupboard.
The transformation provided contemporary, largely open plan living spaces without compromising the original floorplan. High level lighting and simple landscaping completed the project.
